Gerri Sue Coogan
Sue Coogan passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her home surrounded by family on May 30, 2023 in Colville. She was born February 6, 1950 in Colville, Washington to George and Helen (Collins) Jensen.
Sue was a resident of Colville and Kettle Falls for most of her life. She had various occupations and worked her entire life, but you may remember her most from Western Auto, parts department at Chevrolet, pouring cold beer at Acorns, Walmart Garden center or waving in her dump truck for Coogan excavating.
Sue was very talented beyond her means. She could do absolutely anything and you could not tell her otherwise. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, photography, painting, woodworking, gardening and the list was endless of what she enjoyed and what she was capable of.
Sue was very caring and giving person and her biggest joy was her family. She had so much love to spread. She enjoyed spending time with everyone but had a "Nana's" sweet spot for her three great grandchildren Carter, Carson and Aisley.
Sue is proceeded in death by her parents, George and Helen, brother, Tom Jensen, sister, Joy Jensen and husband, Jerry Coogan "Doy".
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Kenny) Marx, , grandchildren, Chrystal (Trevor) Haynes, Derrik Marx, Laney Marx, Lucas Day, great grandchildren, Carter, Carson and Aisley Marx, siblings, Sharron Ross, Gary (Jeanice) Jensen, George Jensen, Janet (Gary)Vierling, Judy Mason, Sheri Patrick, Terri Owens, Dale (Ellen) Jensen, Bruce (Josie) Jensen, Faith (Brian) Rightmer, Lee (Brenda) Jensen, Robyn Hilliard and Ray (Shelly) Jensen, several nieces, nephews, their families and her beloved dog, Tiny.
The celebration of life will begin with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service starting at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023 at the AG Trade Center at 317 West Astor Avenue Colville, Washington. Sue will be laid to rest at Mountain View Park Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
