Longtime Colville resident, Generosa "Jena" Garrote, age 49 years old, entered into rest on May 17, 2024 at her home with her significant other, Jeff and sons, Taylor and London, at her side.   Jena was born September 3, 1974 to Ephran and Selisa (Humphry) Garrote.

She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and personality.  She and Jeff met at a friend's home in Kettle Falls.  They would spend the next 20+ years together, bringing up their boys, and enjoying many outdoor activities – camping, swimming, kayaking, and long walks together.  She loved the lake, kayaking, and exploring.

Jena loved her animals.  She was known for bringing home stray cats and dogs and making them her pets.  She even acquired a pair of mountain goats that she managed to get into her VW Bug. When her boys came home from school, they discovered the goats and were amazed.  Once again, their mom had taken on another couple of strays!  Jena also loved to sew and created many quilts.

Her greatest love was her boys.  She loved them very much.

Jena is survived by her significant other, Jeff Hartill, and her sons, Taylor and Longdon Hartill.
