In Loving Memory of Fred Alan Marcum

Fred Alan Marcum, born in Spokane Washington on May 18th, 1959, to George and Ann Marcum. He passed away peacefully in his home on Monday September 23rd, 2024, he was 65 years old. He had 2 siblings, Marvin Marcum, and Angela Dyrland. He was a long time resident of Kettle falls, Washington, after he moved into the area in 1975. He graduated from Kettle Falls High School in 1977. He served 6 years in the military reserves. Shortly after getting out he was set up on a blind date by his friends. That date led to many happy years, he married his wife Christie, on March 14th, 1981. They had 4 beautiful children together, he was widowed in 2010. Fred is survived by his 4 children; Kimberly Hopkins, Jeffrey Marcum, Mariah Simmons, and Mikayla Moore. As well as 3 grandchildren, NekKye Hopkins, Kelsee Hopkins, and Trevor Moore. Fred was a generous, loving, and compassionate man. He always put others needs before his own. His family meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment. Fred had a great sense of humor, he always knew how to put a smile on everyone's face. Fred had quite a sharp memory, he remembered everyone's birthday, and life events. He could recall details of people's lives from many years prior, even at the age of 65.
Fred's family will be having a memorial to celebrate Fred's life. The memorial will be held at the Columbia River Bible Church (1086 US-395, Kettle Falls Washington 99141) , at 1pm on October 26th, 2024.
