Emily "Diane"
Newman (White)
Aug 26, 1946 — Nov 1, 2023
Colville
Emily Diane Newman aka Diane White, 77, of Colville, Washington, passed away on November 1, 2023. She was born on August 26, 1946, in Boise, Idaho, to the late Earl and Ida White. Emily is survived by her brother, Jim White, her sister, Kim Soares, and her six nieces and nephews.
Emily was a woman of many passions and interests. She had a green thumb and loved tending to plants and flowers. Whether it was a large garden or a small patch of land, she always found a way to make it look beautiful. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to her loved ones. Despite not having much, she would readily share what she had with those in need.
One of Emily's most striking features was her beautiful smile, which she freely bestowed upon others. She found joy in the little things in life and had a contagious laugh that could brighten anyone's day. Animals held a special place in her heart, especially her beloved dogs. She loved them dearly and showered them with affection.
In her leisure time, Emily enjoyed playing canasta, although she had a tendency to bend the rules in her favor. She had a competitive spirit and was quick to laugh, bringing joy to those around her. Above all, family meant the world to Emily, and she cherished her loved ones dearly.
Emily attended Doyle Park School and Herbert Slater Jr. High for her primary education. She later attended Santa Rosa High and graduated from Petaluma High.
Emily's funeral services will not be held, she will be interred next to our Mother and Grandparents. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family kindly requests no contributions be made.
Emily Diane Newman will be remembered for her love of nature, her generosity, and her infectious smile. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of warmth and laughter. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
