Edna Mae Clough

Edna Mae Clough, a 50 year resident of Colville, WA, passed away December 21, 2021 at age 90. She was born in Waitsburg WA on March 16, 1931 to Edgar Herring and Elizabeth Mary(Miller) Henley.

Edna was raised in Waitsburg, WA where she attended school and graduated from high school. She then attended Central Washington University in Ellensburg, where she earned her teaching degree. Edna married her true love, Orville Clough, on December 28, 1952, in Waitsburg, WA. Together they raised a family and shared 37 years in marriage prior to his passing on June 24, 1990. They resided in Moses Lake, Sunny Side and Grandview, WA before moving to Colville in 1969.

She taught for a short time before moving to Colville. She then worked at WT Grants in the accounting department. Edna enjoyed the opportunity to later follow her dream of having a family and raising their children as a homemaker and eventual grandma.

Edna loved kids and was blessed with many grandkids and great grandkids. She was known as grandma cookies to them. Her grandkids have many fond memories of having coffee and cookies and playing games with their grandma. She enjoyed going to their sporting events and musical performances and was able to attend many!

Edna loved to travel and was able to go many places with her kids. She also loved to eat and shop! She ate lunch out everyday! And made a yearly Christmas trip to the Davenport Hotel. Which went from spending one night to two because we needed more time to eat and shop!

Edna has survived by her 4 children; sons Ron Clough of Colville, WA, Woody Clough (Cyndi); daughters, Connie Harper (Doug) of Colorado & Julie Sandaine (Randy). Grandchildren; Lori Baun & Christy Goodwin, Cruze, Zak & Colton Thompson, and Macy & Kyle Clough; 9 great grandchildren. All of which she loved deeply and was a huge part of their life. The funeral service for Mrs. Edna Mae Clough will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville, WA. The graveside service and vault interment will follow at the Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville. Pastor Shane Moffitt will officiate.
