On 12,12,1946, Frank and Beverly Parr welcomed their first born son, Donald Francis, to their home in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  At an early age, he moved with his parents to California.  He attended schools there and graduated in 1965 from Lompoc High School.  While in high school he belonged to the swim team lettering his senior year.  In early high school he loved working on old cars, especially his Nash.  At 15 he began working at Safeway as a bag boy.  This job was the start of a 25 yer career in the food industry starting from bag boy to label designer for Nalley Foods.  He attended Allan Hancock Junior College earning an associate degree in graphic arts.  In later years he put this degree to good use as he became a STEM digital art teacher.  He earned his bachelor degree from City University in Tacoma.  He became vocationally certified and taught high school in Maple Valley, WA from 1992 to 2008. In his retirement he continued to drive and work on his beloved 1929 Model A  and 1960 F 100 pickup.  Earlier in life he participated in Bloomsday and even completed a triathlon.  Don was always an active and busy man,  As he aged his mobility became compromised.  He tried to regain his  mobility but  was unsuccessful.  So on Good Friday, March 29, 2024, he succumbed and went home to be with the Lord.
