Dolores "DoDo" Frick
November 19, 1936 - January 30, 2026

Dolores "DoDo" Frick, age 89, passed away peacefully at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington surrounded by the love of family on January 30, 2026. She was born on November 19, 1936 in Los Angeles, California.

She married Jim McKnight in 1955 and had three children, Valerie, Jim, and Michael. She divorced 15 years later, and after several years married her second husband Jack Frick. They lived in Seal Beach, CA with her two sons. But California would not be her final residence. She longed to be by her beloved sister, Terry Tyler in Washington State.  So, in 1994 she and Jack set out for Washington where they built their dream home on a lake in Colville, Washington.

DoDo enjoyed watching the wildlife around the lake and being in the natural environment. She also enjoyed her small business selling antiques and collectibles and going to yard sales in search of more treasures.

She delighted in shopping and going out to lunch. But most of all she loved her family and time spent with them. She was known for her delicious home-made enchiladas at family holidays and gatherings. She was outgoing and fun and loved by all.

Dolores was preceded in death by her son Jim.

She is survived by her daughter Valerie (Ernie), her son Michael (Dena), two grandchildren, three sisters, brother, and many, many nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply.
