Deidre Rose
Mcgilvra
Sep 19, 1985 — Sep 3, 2024
Colville
Deidre Rose McGilvra, age 39, a lifetime resident of Colville, WA, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 3, 2024 at her home and surrounded by family. Deidre was born on Sept. 19, 1985 in Colville, WA the daughter of Larry Fred and Patricia Ann (Baughman) Lambert.
Deidre was a farm girl with a passion for animals that began around the time she took her first steps. She was always in motion to create the next adventure and find freedom where her spirit could soar. These adventures often included her partner in crime and closest sibling, John. If they weren't adventuring, they were arguing and then adventuring again. Deidre attended school in Colville and her early years were in the elementary schools in Colville. She finished her formal education in the Panorama home school. She graduated in 2002 and then worked as an office assistant for the Stevens County Ambulance. While there, she also became a licensed EMT and was able to assisted on a few emergency calls. Deidre then went to work at Walmart for time. Her favorite adventure began when she met Scott McGilvra, her "best friend" and they married on Sept. 2, 2006 and started a family. She loved her role as a wife and mother was always ready for a snuggle, a hug, and an "I love you". Ten years ago, their family settled into their farmette just outside of Colville in the Williams Lake area. There she has raised rabbits, dogs, goats, cats, chickens and a cow. There was always a new adventure on their small farm that hadn't been discovered and she loved to discover them.
Deidre and Scott enjoyed many 4-wheeler rides, projects, restoring cars and outdoor adventures. Their family camped, swam, fished and enjoyed the beauty of nature that surrounded them. Deidre spent many hours crafting and would bake elaborate cakes for family birthdays. She often reminisced of her time spent at her mother's side in the kitchen where they would cook, bake and share in the wonderful company of each other. Deidre was loved and loved well in return. She cherished the freedoms of this country, its ideals, and the waving of the red, white, and blue.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry & Patricia; siblings, John, Josh, Larry, James and Jeremy Lambert.
Deidre was survived by her husband, D. Scott McGilvra, at the home; 3 children, Zander McGilvra, Raden McGilvra and Ziva McGilvra, all at the home; siblings, Shawna Lee Farrington (Mike) of Tennessee, Gina Dashiell of Colville, WA, David Lambert of Evans, WA, Matthew Lambert of Idaho, Christopher Lambert (Jenny) of Colville, WA, Joel Lambert (Sarah) of Spokane, WA, Sabrina Franz (Gary) of Colville, WA, Tovah Lehr (James) of Colville, WA., numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
