In loving memory

Dean Herbert Everson

Dean Herbert Everson age 72 went to his heavenly home from his earthly home in Northport, WA on August 18th. Born in Seattle, WA on May 15th, 1951, son of Herbert and Grace Everson.

"Well, you know you are on the level if the bubbles in the middle". If you knew Dean you knew he was a Jokester, your Best Friend, Tractor Driver, Farmer, Hunter, Wheeler Dealer, Fisherman, Father, Husband, Horseback rider and Jack of all trades. In Kirkland, WA his grandparents homesteaded that area and owned a little Ma and Pa Cash and Carry and Auto Parts store in a then rural part of Kirkland.  Later he met and married Sandra Smith in 1976 and they built a life together on the same property that was the family home. Disabled at 28, life threw quite the curveball, but it didn't stop Dean. He ran a horse riding stable out of Bridle Trails at which he had over 20 horses.  In 1994 after searching for a new area to make their home. They found Northport, Washington and moved their two daughters and all the animals and settled on a farm with forty acres out of Northport. There he hayed his property, continued to have horses, and had hunting and fishing right out his back door. He loved watching the elk and deer graze right by his back porch. Full of a vibrant energy that would own a room, Dean had a way of making everyone laugh and feel like you were the most special person in his life. He loved helping people and was known to rip out a page in his checkbook register with his address on it at gas stations to give to random people if they needed a place to stay. He was always ready to saddle the horses to make sure everyone had a chance to experience the joy of riding a horse. But make sure if you came over you were ready for some good stories, jokes, and a home cooked meal. He could Jerry rig anything and make it work. Very helpful when you were short on cash and ideas, Dean would always make a way. Just like his faith, and love of family and friends no matter what challenge life threw he rose above with a smile on his face and a song in his heart that could be heard "On a Hill Far Away".

Dean Herbert Everson is survived by his wife Sandra Everson, daughters Lydia Tost (Brian Tost), Rebekah Everson, sister Lurinda Ruth, Grandchildren Naomi, Isaiah, Jonah, and Elias Tost, Jaron Dean Everson-Thomas, and Titan Bray.  Half-brothers Terry, Rick, Dave, and half-sister Patty.
