Obituary

Daniel Edward Grant

On October 2, 2023, Dan went home to be with the Lord after a short battle with cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many.

Dan was born in Everett, WA to Ed and Phyllis Grant. He spent his childhood in the mountains with his dad near Darrington. He graduated from Everett high school and started attending the University of Washington to become a Theoretical Physicist. He was also employed by Boeing. He got the call from the army for the draft, so he abandoned his education and joined the air force.

After his time in service, he headed to California. There he met his first wife, Neda, she moved back to Kansas and they soon got divorced. She had his first son, Robert.

He then met Denise and they began a family in 1978, first child, Chrisinda. They were married in 1981. The second son, Daniel Joseph was born in 1982, third son, Joshua Andrew in 1984 and fourth son, Erin David Conley in 1989.

Dan was a man of many talents. An amazing musician. Spent many nights sitting at the dining room table, guitar in one hand, pen to paper in the other, crafting many songs. He even wrote a few movie scripts. He provided for his family selling collectibles and stamps. His joy in life was going to karaoke and spending time with his family.

He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Denise, and children, Robert Esau-Rutherford, in Wichita, KS, Chrisinda Bamonte (Todd) of Colville, WA. Daniel Joseph Grant (Danielle) of Georgetown, TX, Joshua Grant of Colville, WA, Erin Grant of Spokane, WA, grandchildren Serina and Nathaniel Bowlin; Payton, Preston, Journey and Veda Grant; June and Nolan Grant; Jameson Grant; Alex, Cody, and Eilysh Esau; and Great grandson Cedar Esau.
