In Loving Memory

Daniel Floyd East

Mr. Daniel Floyd East, age 74, of Kettle Falls, WA, passed away January 31, 2025, in Colville, WA.  Dan was born April 23, 1950, in Bloomington, IN.  When he was very young the family moved to the San Diego, CA. area, his life took him many other places, he has called Kettle Falls home for many years.

A man of many talents, he was considered an artist in many mediums, pencil drawings, custom paint on motorcycles.  He built guitars, made and repaired watches, and enjoyed restoring things.  Dan was a diesel mechanic by trade and used his knowledge of motorcycles to build and restore Harley Davidson Motorcycles.  If something needed to be fixed, he could do it.

Perhaps the most significant love of his life was that of Jesus Christ.  Dan was a man of deep faith.  In his earlier years, he graduated from Christian Service Training Institute (CSTI), he was a street evangelist in San Diego CA, never tired of sharing scriptures with those around him. He enjoyed sharing and revealing the scriptures to his wife, Nina.  The second most significant love of his life was that of Nina.  She will forever miss him BEING THERE.  His pet name for her was "Momma."  He was her loving husband and provider.  And at the end of each day, he would kiss her goodnight.

Dan is survived by his wife Nina East at their Kettle Falls home; six children; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister and two brothers. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.  Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory have been entrusted with his care. Please visit the online memorial website and sign his guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com.
