Cora Lucile Barton

Cora Lucile Barton was born on November 2, 1929 in Grants Pass Oregon. She passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024 in her beloved home town of Colville, Washington with family by her side. She worked for the Steven's County Auditors Office for twenty-nine years, which meant a great deal to her and she was pleased to let people know. Lucile was an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman, with many fishing trips to Canada.

Lucile was briefly married to Durwood Helt which blessed her with a beautiful daughter, Carol Diane.  She later married Dan Lintecum, who had many years with Lucile and Carol until his passing in 1976.  She married Clarence Barton in 1983, they had 29 years of fun and adventure until his passing in 2012.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Barton, her parents, Donald and Lucile Reams, brother Roger Reams, sister Linda Reams and her nephew Danny Reams.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Riese, granddaughters Rachael Smith and Garylene Wolf, grandson Gary Riese Jr. and great grandson Arthur Riese Freeman. She is also survived by six nieces, Kathy DaVico (Mike), Karen Hoogendoorn (Roger), Kris Preece (Brian), Yvonne Ellison (Jeff), Veronica Sullivan (Mike), and Stasia Jennings-Columbini (Chet) and numerous great and great, great nieces and nephews.

As my mom's daughter, I want to thank Kris and Brian for everything they did for my mom over the years. It has meant the world to me and I know that my mom loved you both dearly.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, October 15 at 2:00p.m. at Highland Cemetery.
