In Loving Memory Of
Clarence Emery Cummings
Clarence Emery Cummings entered into life on November 16, 1939 in Lovell Wyoming. He lived in Whistle Creek from the age of three until he was ten with Clarence and Mable Woods. Clarence joined the navy at seventeen and served on the Philippine Sea from 1956-1960. He then moved to Roy Arizona where he met his first wife and raised two boys.
Later Clarence moved to California after his first marriage and he met his second wife in Death Valley. He moved to Elk Washington and started working at Alcoa in 1974. Clarence raised two more boys here and worked until his retirement in 2003 as a millwright.
"Jack," (as he was called) was well known in his community for being a good neighbor and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to fix or troubleshoot problems. He never asked for anything in return in his true silent generation fashion. His kind nature and hard work ethic allowed him to succeed from a very humble beginning. Jack enjoyed family time out on the water, cooking and chasing the ever-elusive tamarack to keep our home warm.
Jack entered into rest on November 22, 2024 in Spokane Washington. He is survived by his wife Diane Cummings, his brother Robert Koch, and his sons Earl Cummings, Jeremy Cummings, and Cody Cummings.
