Charles Chester "Chuck" Morris

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Charles C. (Chuck) Morris. Chuck was born to Victor and Georgia Morris in Chewelah, WA, April 12, 1938.  He passed away peacefully Saturday November 26th 2022.

Chuck graduated from Chewelah High School and served in the United States Army stationed in Italy. He returned to Stevens County in 1974 where he and Jeri remained for 48 years. Chuck helped open Northwest Alloys of ALCOA, where he worked for 28 years until his retirement in 2002. After retirement Chuck found great joy spending time with his wife and family, especially his grandchildren.

In the winter's he enjoyed watching Gonzaga Basketball and in the summer's the Seattle Mariners. Chuck also had a life-long love of gardening, landscaping and home projects.

He is survived by wife, JERIENE (Jeri). They were married in Kent, WA, August 19, 1972. He is survived by 6 children, Denise Whitten (Jeff), Jon Barrett, Carrie Schultz, Patrick Barrett (Raquel), Dr. Damond Morris (Laura), Michael Morris (Maartje), 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Chuck's surviving siblings, George Morris (Connie) Velma Churchill, Rosa Nett (Jim). Predeceased siblings are sister, Anna Mae Jennings (Jim) and brothers Art (Nancy) and Hollis (Kara).

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, with time and location to be announced.  Funeral arrangements are by Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Colville.
