In Loving Memory
Casey Allen Pierce
Colville resident, Casey Allen Pierce, age 53, passed away October 5, 2024 in Colville, WA. Casey was born April 22, 1971 in Chewelah, WA. to Robert Pierce and Shirley Lyons. He attended local schools and completed his GED.
Those who knew him well described Casey as being "Larger than Life." He was a big man in stature and personality. He could be somewhat intimidating like a grizzly bear, but underneath was the most loveable little teddy bear. Casey was kind hearted and caring. He would give his coat to someone in need. He told those he loved that he would take a bullet for any of them. Casey would give his last $5 to anyone who needed it as well.
An avid outdoorsman, Casey loved hiking and being in the woods. Family members say that Casey was a lot like Grizzly Adams. In his younger years he lived and worked in Alaska. He worked on a commercial fishing boat. He had found his niche and loved the work and the beauty that Alaska offered.
Casey always had a "Larger than Life" appetite as well. As a boy, he could be found holding the Thanksgiving turkey legs in each hand and a loaded plate in front of him. Casey loved old fashioned holiday dinners – lots of great food and being with his family. More recently, he loved the Loaded 4-Wheeler Burger from Ronnie D's. Casey loved it so much he would ask them to double it!
Casey is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Ida Lyons. (He was their first grandchild). He is survived by the love of his life, Rosie of Colville; his mother, Shirley Lyons; his father, Robert Pierce; sisters, Christie and Bobbijo; and brother, Jody; Niece Brittany Hammett (John), Nephews Gavin Pierce and AJ Wilson; Aunts Judy, Carol and Donna; Uncles Gary, Earl, Carl and Tony and numerous other extended family members.
His mother and siblings wish to express their gratitude to Uncles Earl and Gary for their love and tremendous support at this time. Also, they wish to thank Aunt Judy for being Casey's "second Mom."
A private family gathering is being planned for the future to honor Casey. He will be laid to rest in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Ford, WA. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Please visit the online memorial website and sign his guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com. Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory have been entrusted with his care.
