In Loving Memory

Bruce Alvin Ford Jr.

Bruce Alvin Ford Jr., a longtime area resident, passed away unexpectedly on September 17, 2021 in Colville, WA. He was born in Spokane, WA on March 9, 1960 to Bruce and Vera (Hugland) Ford Sr.

Bruce grew up in Ritzville, WA and graduated from Ritzville High School with the class of 1978 where he was a member of the football team and track & field squad. He met Luana Bocook through a mutual friend and the two would eventually wed in March of 1984. The couple would welcome a daughter, Dawn soon after, then their son, Derek in 1989. Bruce and his young family made their way to the Puget Sound region where he found work as a mechanic. His love of the outdoors and open space brought him back to Northeast Washington just outside of Northport, WA where he has remained ever since. Though their marriage did not last, Bruce and Luana remained friends. He enjoyed the solitude that his home provided and Bruce had the privilege of having his family together at the home. He loved spending time with his grandkids, watching televised wrestling, following NASCAR races and television shows that had to do with working on cars (as any good mechanic would). Bruce's sudden passing was far too soon and he will be dearly missed by his loving family.

Bruce was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Snow; son, Derek Ford; grandchildren, Heleena Snow, Cameron Snow and Emma Ford; brother, Glen Ford; sisters, Sue Kettleson and Kandy Heimbinger (Ross) and numerous nieces and nephews.
