Bonnie Patricia Carol DesRosiers

Bonnie Patricia Carol DesRosiers, age 83, passed away in Spokane, Washington following a decline in health on October 11, 2023.  Bonnie was born on September 25, 1940 in Timmins, Ontario, Canada to Gerald and Helena (McCormick) Powers.

After leaving high school, Bonnie would go on to spend many years working for a carnival in California.  She would begin with a carnival game booth, but would eventually move into an office-based position, selling tickets, processing payroll, and performing other various bookkeeping tasks.

As her health concerns began to grow, Bonnie would relocate the Chewelah, Washington to live with her sister, Dianne, who was able to help to take care of her.  Bonnie enjoyed her time still being able to help out around the house, and even made it over to the casino, when possible, for some fun.  In earlier years, Bonnie loved to take cruises, and especially loved Hawaii.  She was a frequenter of the gift shops, collecting countless souvenirs over the years.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Clinton Powers, as well as her mother and step-father, Helena and Dr. J. Newell Stannard.  She is survived by her sisters, Dianne Eppler and Brenda Hanisee; as well as her step-sister, Sue Frazier; her nieces and nephews, Angel Smith, Teri, Catherine, Robert, Brandon and Patrick; and her great-niece, Starr Smith.
