In Loving Memory of Billie Jo Pratt

Billie Jo Pratt of Kettle Falls, passed away on March 26th, 2025, at providence Mt. Carmel hospital surrounded by her family. Billie Jo was born Nov. 27th, 1950, in Havre, Montana. She is the daughter of Gordon Maze and Mildred Henderson. She was the youngest of 4 children. She grew up in the Montana and Spokane area.

She met and married the love of her life, John "Pee Wee" Pratt, in 1977. They were married in Post Falls at her sister's home. They then made a home in Kettle Falls, where they resided the last 40 plus years. They then had 2 sons, Jimmy and Jay. Billie Jo was very active in their lives and supported everything they did along the way. Billie Jo became mom to many of the boy's childhood friends. Billie Jo would say they "adopted" and loved every kid that came home with the boys. Many of these grown boys continued to always stop in for a visit, bring their kids over to visit, and help with what she needed.

Billie Jo loved to go camping, ride her four-wheeler, and watching everyone drive by off her deck. She loved to spend quality time with her family.   Billie Jo was an extraordinary mother to Jimmy and Jay, doing everything she could to be the loudest one cheering for them in their endeavors. She is a grandmother to 6 grandchildren & 5 Great grandchildren. She made sure they attended every event they could for all of the grandchildren. From watching them in their sports to attending birthday parties & graduations.  In recent years she loved when everyone would swing by for a visit, she loved having her son Jimmy and daughter in law Andrea around. She cherished every time the grandkids and great grandkids would come by and fill the house with noise and laughter.

In 2014, Billie Jo was heartbroken when she lost her son Jay. It was a very hard time in her life, and she has always missed him until now. In Nov. 2023 Billie Jo lost the love of her life, her beloved husband. This was a difficult time for her, learning to navigate life at home without him. They were as in love as love could possibly get and spent 47 years of their lives showing it to one another.

Billie Jo spent many years waitressing at various restaurants in Colville & Little Gallea in kettle falls. All the regulars knew her and couldn't wait to be served by her. Her family and grandkids would even come in while she worked to get hot cakes. She was always putting the needs of others first. Billie Jo was loving and well loved. She embraced living a simple life & didn't need the fancy things in life to love the life she lived.

Billie Jo is proceeded in death by her parents Gordon & Mildred, her husband Peewee, her beloved son Jay and her sister Bobette.

She is survived by her son Jimmy Pratt (Andrea) of Kettle Falls, Sister Charlotte of Post falls, Brother Dean of California, Daughter in law Lacey, Grandchildren Caitlynn, Tyler, Tagen, Rowdy, Zane, Cody and Great Grandchildren Kolson, Asher, Briella, Colton and Jett.
