Ardith Cleonne Bates from Northport, Washington died Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in Colville, Washington. She was born August 11, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa to the late George and Donna (Ritters) Waters.

Ardith loved helping and taking care of people. She worked in a field that allowed her to do exactly that as a CNA. She worked in Columbia Lodge and at Mt. Carmel Hospital for some time and did some private care taking as well. Then along the way found her love to cook. Ardith was an amazing cook. She was a cook in cafés in Northport, hospital cafes and at Pinewood Terrace in Colville, Washington. When she wasn't cooking and helping people, you would find her sewing, crocheting or doing some kind of craft. Ardith also took pride on working in her yard and in her flower beds. She really loved to spending quality time with her family around a bonfire most of all. She never took family times for granted and she will be deeply missed.

Ardith was predeceased by her parents and one sister; Nancy Hautenne. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Eugene "Gene" Bates of Northport, WA., her 2 daughters; Stacy Burke (Willie) of Evans's, WA and Torina Kroiss (David Richart) of Kettle Falls, WA, one brother; Bill Waters of Puyallup, WA, one sister; Kim Waters of Hoquiam, WA, four grandchildren; Kelsey, Daulton, Derrick, Colby and 3 great grandchildren; Peytyn, Cruz and Cole.
