Obituary

Annette Joan Wulff

Mother, Sister, Grandma, Friend and Auntie.

Born in Colville Nov. 15, 1950 to George and Melva Simpson. Raised and graduated on or near the Colville reservation in Inchelium WA.

She started her own family in the 70s and moved us to Spokane Washington, just outside of the city limits. Where she stayed till today.

Our Mom wasn't just our mom, she was the oldest of 14 children. She was also a mom to our best friends. Where her number or address never changed.  A place you could come to, for good times and bad.

She loved being a grandma and these kids know they have her forever etched in their brain. What is right and what is wrong. How to forgive and how to show respect to those they love. When and if they have their own kids, they will have these good memories to share with them. To teach them our family values as grandma taught them.

You could not help but love her silliness, big smile, gab sessions, and big bear hugs. Everyone also knew never to cross her. There was no pulling the wool over her eyes She's seen and lived it all.

She gave us stability in Spokane while also bringing us back to her home in Inchelium on holidays summers and vacation. She gave us the best of both worlds, for that I am ever grateful.

When we were old enough to make our own decisions as teenagers, the boys 18, 17, me 14 😘. She went to work for Jansport in the Valley. I was happy because I was had a cool backpack every year. She was happy because she had piles of jean material to make purses, big ugly shorts, and blankets.

After a while the boys did make their own decisions but turned out they weren't really good ones, so she took a break from work for a bit.

When she was ready to go back. She started working at Northern Quest Casino in 2003 as a House Keeper where she just retired on her 20-year Anniversary this year. She even had her own commercial. "It is cleaner than my own house." She ad limbed.

At NQ she made good friends. People she worked with, for, and also the customers she saw repeatedly.
She was passionate about the job and how her and Patty developed a good routine. So when new people came aboard and did not have the same passion, I would hear it and I believe her managers would too.
We talked about our work a lot on our coffee breaks together. I would give her advice and she I. She loved it there. I loved our breaks.
Only 2 weeks into retirement she was talking about going back. I told her to give retirement a chance because she deserved to have some rest.
NQ gave my mom independence, another home, another family, and I am ever so grateful.

It has not truly hit us yet, but we know we may not hear her voice, touch her hand, giver her a kiss, feel that big hug again. BUT what we do know is, she is with us like always.

She had us and we had her Forever and Always.

I Love you Mom! ❤️  I know you are having the best bear hugs and gab sessions with so many other loved ones in the big open sky. FLY HIGH and RIP MOTHER.
