Obituary

Allen Patrick Dale Haney**June 7, 1968 - July 7, 2026**It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Allen Patrick Dale Haney, who died peacefully on July 7, 2026, at the age of 58. He was surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with melanoma.

Allen was born on June 7, 1968, in Spokane, Washington. For the past several decades, he made his home in Colville, where he built a life centered on family, hard work, laughter, and the outdoors.

Allen began his working life as a logger before transitioning into manufacturing and warehousing. Throughout his career, he was known for being hardworking, dependable, and someone others could always count on. Whether at work, at home, or helping a friend, Allen never hesitated to lend a hand when someone needed him.

Some of Allen's greatest joys were found outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed gold panning whenever he had the chance. He cherished every opportunity to be in the mountains, on the water, or exploring the backcountry. Those who knew him understood that he was happiest outside, enjoying nature and sharing those adventures with the people he loved. Allen had an unforgettable sense of humor. He was always quick with a joke and had a special ability to make people laugh and smile, even during difficult times. He was our beloved goofball, always entertaining us with his jokes, pranks, and funny looks. Those moments brought so much happiness to our lives, and we will miss them more than words can express. Allen was a devoted husband and father, and his family was his greatest source of pride. His love for them could be seen in everything he did. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Robert "Bob" Haney and Dianne Haney.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Tammi Haney; his son, Robert Haney; his daughter, Sarah Haney; his biological mother, Sharon; his sisters, Debi, Cindy, and Jody; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Although our hearts are broken that Allen had to leave us far too soon, we are deeply grateful for every adventure, every laugh, and every memory he gave us. He will forever be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. Allen's family would also like to thank Dr. Shannon and the doctors, nurses, and staff at Providence Mount Carmel Hospital for the kindness and compassionate care they provided to Allen and his family during his visits to the emergency room. Those wishing to honor Allen's memory are encouraged to make a donation to the Melanoma Research Foundation in support of continued research and the hope for a cure.
