Obituary

ALEX WILLIAM McCLELLAN

Alexander "Alex" William McClellan, age 27, a 5 year resident of OR, passed away on Dec. 23, 2021 due to injuries received in an automobile accident. Alex was born on May 26, 1994 in Everett, WA the son of Sandy Dale McClellan.

He resided with his mom, Sandy and his older sister, Nicole in Marysville until the age of 4 when they all moved for a time to Colville.  Three years later they returned to Marysville, WA where he began grade school.  Alex completed grade school and junior high in Marysville.  He began high school in Colville, where he met Jordyn Daily. They dated for a short time but kept their friendship going through the following years. Alex completed his education in 2012 and immediately began his first job in the timber industry as maintenance and clean up for Columbia Cedar. Soon after he moved to Spokane, WA where he resided for a couple of years making many memories with some of his best friends before returning to Colville in 2014. When he returned to Colville, he was hired at Vaagen Brothers Lumber and became crane operator. He then moved to Alaska for a short time in 2016 where he worked at Tanners Fresh Fish Processing. He spent the summer learning and adventuring before he returned back to WA. In January of 2017 Alex and Jordyn began their life together and relocated to Scio, OR. Alex quickly began his journey into the construction industry.  In 2018, they started their family with the birth of their daughter, Chloe.  Their family grew again in 2020 with the birth of their second daughter, Parker, this time at home where Alex helped deliver his baby girl, something he was so proud of. Alex's joy and smile grew with every addition to his life, blossoming in Jordyn and compounding with the welcome of each of their beautiful little girls.  He enjoyed working every day to support his family and was drawn to the operation of heavy equipment, with his passion being in excavation.  Alex had recently completed heavy equipment operators' school in New Hampshire and was applying his education and skills on job sites throughout Washington and Oregon.  Alex and Jordyn were planning on leaving OR in the near future so they decided to purchase a truck and travel trailer to give them the freedom to travel and move whenever they needed.  He was looking forward to coming home to them every night no matter where he was working.

Alex was a man with great reserve.  He spoke only when words were necessary but showed his love through his presence and actions.  Alex stood quiet guard over his true love, Jordyn, his girls, his extended family and close friends, and was always there to watch over and care for those close to him.  His freckled face, red hair, light complexion and Shamrock tattoo reflected his Irish roots that ran deep in pride.  Alex lived fully in every moment, "fast and furious" was his approach and humble was his character. "Fast and furious" applied to many parts of his life including his love of driving and building cars. The many trips to local parks, feeding of waddling feathered friends and adventures through the mountains will be cherished by his girls, complemented by the family trips to the Oregon Coast and even Hawaii.

Alex leaves behind his "soul-mate," Jordyn Daily of Scio, OR; two daughters, Chloe and Parker McClellan, at the home; mother, Sandy McClellan of Colville, WA; sister, Nicole James of Colville, WA; aunts and uncles, Sue McClellan of Colville, WA, James and D'Anne McClellan of Colville, WA; grandfather, Al McClellan of Colville, WA and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Alexander "Alex" William McClellan will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville, WA.  Pastor Shane Moffitt will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of one's choosing.
