Life Legacy
David Chris Kingsbury, a longtime resident of the Kettle Falls, WA passed away on June 7, 2012 in Spokane, WA. David was born on June 10, 1960 in Los Angeles, CA.
He was raised by his father Larry Horton and mother Virginia in California where he resided in several communities growing up. Their family traveled often to fulfill obligations of work. David graduated from high school and the continued his education in trade school. He married Margarita Campos on Sept. 25, 1978 in Kettle Falls, WA, and they soon began a family. David had begun work at the age of fifteen in the local rockery and by the time he was twenty-three, he had purchased his own truck and was making local deliveries and long haul trips with cargo that ranged from road barriers to chicken manure. He was very gifted and could build, rebuild, repair, overhaul, create and engineer projects within his mind with astounding practical accuracy. He and Margarita moved with their family to Washington. David traveled back and forth between California and Washington where work opportunities were available. While in Washington, David earned his hazardous product transportation certification and worked for Northern Energy as a propane hauler and installer. He also worked aside his family in Kingsbury Construction hauling mobile-homes, installing water and septic systems, constructing pole buildings and decks and any project in between.
David was a man always on the move with Christ as his guide. His faith was his inspiration and his family his foundation. David was his family’s consummate provider, offering his support on every issue whether legal, medical, monetary, mechanical, emotional or spiritual. David was called by many names: friend, buddy, prayer partner, servant of others, husband, dad and “Poppy”, all of which were answered with love and respect. He enjoyed camping, boating, taking “shortcuts” home, leading pray meetings, receiving praise reports and studying his Bible.
David was preceded in death by mother, father, brothers Rudy, Raymond and a brother-in-law, Johnny.
He is survived by his wife, Margarita Kingsbury, at the home; six daughters, Virginia Searson and husband, Dean, Tina Prior and husband, Thomas, Marcella Bair and husband, Issac, Denise Heberling and husband, Ronnie, Yvette Currigan and husband, Sean, Yvonne Lundquist and husband, Mike, all of Kettle Falls; one son, David Kingsbury and wife, Kayla, Kettle Falls, WA; grandchildren: Margarita, Isabelle, Michael, Issac, Teddy, Danny, Abby, David III, Ariel, Noah, Joshua, Isaiah and Ruth; sisters, Deborah Gallardo, Arden, WA, Kathy Jimenez, Idaho, one brother, Albert Kingsbury, California; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
