Biography
Michael Van Brady, a resident of Lolo, Montana passed away on February 28, 2012 in Missoula, Montana at the age of 49. He was born in Kirkland, Washington on March 23, 1962 to Loyde and Phillis Brady.
In 1971 the family moved to Chewelah, WA where Michael went to school and graduated from Jenkins High School in 1980. After graduating he went on to Highline Community College in South Seattle, where he studied in the hospitality field. He began his first job in the hospitality industry at the Berkley Marina Marriot in Berkley, CA. He worked there for several years before re-directing his skills as a software installer for Micros, installing computer software into hotel computers around the globe. After several years, and living out of a suitcase, he decided to slow down his pace and seek employment at smaller hotel chains. Michael was the general manager at the Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs in Lolo, at the time of his passing.
Michael, being the hospitable person that he was, always thought of others before himself, making sure you were comfortable and taken care of. At Christmas he loved to decorate and bake. It was his favorite time of year. His dedication and work ethic made him the man he was. Michael was warm, loving, kind and fun and will be remembered and missed by so many.
Michael is survived by his parents, Loyde and Phyllis Brady of Kettle Falls, WA; his sister, Melissa (Brady) Dugger and husband Rod, of Homedale, ID; his niece, Angela Barrett and husband, Nick of Cheney, WA and their children, Cody, Alicia, Emily and Jace; a nephew, Jeremy Dugger and wife, Mahely of Caldwell, ID and their children, Galilea, Ethan and Chantal; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
