Geneva M. Kenerson

Geneva May Kenerson, age 92, died peacefully in her sleep in Colville, WA on April 7, 2018.

She was born September 22, 1925 in Enders Lake, Nebraska.  She was the 8th of 11 children born to parents Elwin & Della Montgomery, and she was the last to go.  She spent most of her youth in Morton, ID on a farm.

She met the father of her 3 natural children and 1 adopted son (Butch) in Sandpoint, ID in 1948.  They moved to Northport, WA in 1949 where they spent the majority of their lives.  She drove school bus, cooked at the Diamond Horseshoe and always raised a huge garden, canned hundreds of jars of produce, and also did beautiful embroidery.  Her embroidered dish towels always brought lots of money at our family reunion auctions.

While as a resident at Pinewood Terrace, she never missed a Wednesday to do crafts that resulted in many blue ribbons at the County Fair, especially her ceramics.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Coleman, Orland Hays and Ralph Kenerson; son, Butch Coleman; daughter, Cookie Hill and grandson, Ron Coleman.  She is survived by her son, Allen Coleman and wife Ann, Northport; daughter, Linda Hunt and husband Lynn of Chattaroy; 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation to those who lovingly care for her for so many years at Pinewood Terrace and thank you to the friends and family who came to cheer up her days.
